Having always volunteered in the community since she can remember, Jody comes to the Ross W. Marsh team as someone who derives great fulfillment in giving back.

Jody spent over ten years with the Make-A-Wish Foundation including founding the office of its largest territory, Quebec, and acting as their Executive Director. She also established and ran the Development Office of the oldest private Jewish school in Quebec, and was Executive Director of the Foundation for a 150-year-old extended healthcare facility in Montreal overseeing a $23 Million endowment.

She was a fundraising manager at B.C.’s Children’s Hospital Foundation in Vancouver, B.C., and consulted for the McGill University Health Centre and St. Mary’s Hospital Foundations in Montreal, QC.

Ms. Banister is a bilingual professional residing in Montreal. She lived overseas for seven years in Hong Kong, Denmark and France, has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia, served as a Board Member for the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and is a graduate of the “Essentials in Good Governance for Not-For-Profit Directors” Program from the Institute of Corporate Directors and Rotman School of Business.
